Protein Signaling and Neuronal Polarity
Our Lab....
Our laboratory is situated in Halifax Nova Scotia on the east coast of Canada. We are interested in developmental neurobiology with an emphasis on intracellular signaling complexes underlying neuronal polarity and the development of circuits important for locomotion. We utilize a number of molecular and cellular approaches, combined with mass spectrometry based screens, to characterize novel protein-protein complexes involved in establishing neuronal polarity and synapse development. We also use mouse genetics combined with behavioural and systems approaches to characterize how intracellular signaling pathways regulate the development of neuronal circuits to control behaviours such as locomotion and anxiety.
